In the beginning I had no idea what I was doin. I simply ran across the yahoo messenger 6.0 skin files one day when I was bored. I thought maybe I could change them a bit. I then did a search on the web for yahoo messenger 6.0 skins but couldn't find any. Never having skinned anything before I imported each .bmp to MS Paint. Then I drew on line on it to see if it changed anything on the skin. After some trial and error I started to relize what each .bmp was for.

I had made almost a complete skin (Fire skin) before I figured out that the .xml had somthing to do with it. After some more trial and error I had figured out how to change the name of the skin along with the fonts. I finished about six skins for me and some friends before I found out there was others making skins.

When I started I had very limited graphical experience. I always liked to draw but never did anything on the computer. Eventually I moved up from MS Paint to Paint Shop Pro. After reading as many online tutorials I could find I am at where I am now.
