Is there anyone out there that still wants Gmail and doesn't have it? If so use the contact page and let me know make sure you state in the message that you want a Gmail invite. I have a few hundred that I am never going to use.

Yes thats right Yahoo is updating there messenger again :tongue: This time they promise more features and better security. Some of the features include a call button. Now you can use your messenger like a phone service and even leave voice mails. They have also introduced drag and drop file transfers. Which should make things much simpler for some people.

I am relieved that the 6.0 skins will still work on this beta version. At least for now. There are some parts of the skin that might look a little off. Most is due to the fact that they added a few images. Once the 7.0 version is out of beta I will probably redo a few of the more popular skins.

So far this beta version seems promising and I have only ran into one bug. When you are in a chat room and you attempt to view a profile by clicking on a name in the room. If that person is using a nickname then Yahoo searches for the user+nickname. Which of course comes up with a bad search.

Welcome to the new layout. I hope you all like it. It took me quite awhile to get it all finshed but it was alot of fun. This is the first time I made a whole layout using XHTML and CSS. Then on top of that I decided to throw some PHP in there to. First time using PHP also.

In the beginning I had no idea what I was doin. I simply ran across the yahoo messenger 6.0 skin files one day when I was bored. I thought maybe I could change them a bit. I then did a search on the web for yahoo messenger 6.0 skins but couldn't find any. Never having skinned anything before I imported each .bmp to MS Paint. Then I drew on line on it to see if it changed anything on the skin. After some trial and error I started to relize what each .bmp was for.

I had made almost a complete skin (Fire skin) before I figured out that the .xml had somthing to do with it. After some more trial and error I had figured out how to change the name of the skin along with the fonts. I finished about six skins for me and some friends before I found out there was others making skins.

When I started I had very limited graphical experience. I always liked to draw but never did anything on the computer. Eventually I moved up from MS Paint to Paint Shop Pro. After reading as many online tutorials I could find I am at where I am now.
