Create some glossy text for your website in just minutes using Paint Shop Pro 9. I tried to make this tutorial as clear as possible. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Step 01.
Direct Link
Create a new document mine is 700x100px. Flood fill this with a background color, I am going to use PSP9's Gradient Gray. Then select your Text Tool with the settings shown in the image below...
Step 02.
Direct Link
Create a new layer. Layers > New Raster Layer. Grab your selection tool and set it to Eclipse. Make a selection across the mid section of your text. Now swap the background and fourground colors and flood fill the selection.
Step 03.
Direct Link
Now select the vector layer with the text. Goto Selections > Select all then Selection > Float this will select the text only, then Selection > Invert then Selections > Modify > Expand set the number of pixels to 1.
Select the layer you flood filled and using the Eraser tool erase everything you can, this will just leave some on the text.

@Penny: The selection tool is on your toolbar. You know the thing with the dotted square on it. Once its selected you can choose what type (ellipse).
